Trip itinerary: Our itinerary can change if affected by weather conditions, group ability and availability of accommodation in the destinations we ride.
Day 1: Arrive In Geneva, Transfer To Martigny Train Station
Welcome to beautiful Switzerland.
- Meet and greet with your guide. Our van will transport you from Martigny train station to your hotel accommodation in Verbier Mountain Resort.
- We will assemble bikes and adjust suspension for the week ahead.
- Relax from your travels with some dinner and drinks.
- Brief explanation of your trip, different routes to be taken and what the riding will entail.
Day 2: Epic Enduro Trails In Verbier
After a good nights rest and fulfilling continental breakfast we’ll get ready to hit the trails. To get the most out of our day in Verbier we will need to purchase a lift pass giving us more time on the single track and less climbing which we never get any complaints about. The great thing about Verbier is the diversity of the trails. As well as the bike park trails there are a lot of natural Enduro style trails that suit all levels of riders.
We will have lunch out in the Alpine meadows overlooking views of Mont Blanc that beat any restaurant view. There are plenty of mountainside restaurants along our route and we always make time to stop for a coffee or ice cream in the sun.
After an amazing day’s biking we’ll finish off with a local beer or wine.
Day 3: Alpine Experience On Col De Mille
After a good breakfast, on this day we ride Col De Mille in Val De Bagnes. This ride is a true classic Alpine Enduro Experience with incredible panoramic views of the French and Swiss Alps. The climbs are quite steep to begin with but we make sure that you get to enjoy some flowing singletrack before getting to the top. But trust us when we say it will be truly worth it for the views alone. We stop for lunch in the cabane on Col De Mille at 2500mts allowing plenty of time to grab a coffee or cold drink before our epic descent.
The descent down has a mixture of Alpine terrain, mostly rocky technical terrain, sharp switchbacks and steep drop offs but there are plenty of options for mixed abilities.
We can guarantee this ride will leave you pumped but no better way to finish our day with a cold drink in a local Swiss bar followed by our evening meal.
Day 4: Smiles For Miles Riding In Mont Noble/Nax
After breakfast we will be transported to the chairlift that brings us up to Cret du Midi at 2300mts. From here there’s a nice Alpine singletrack that brings us down to our first big climb of the day. With Alpine Enduro riding there comes a time when you have to do a little hike-a-bike to gain access to some hidden singletrack that certainly won’t disappoint. To get to the highest point of the day we must hike-a-bike approximately 350mts to the top of Col De Cou 2529mts where we will have lunch with a view to remember long after your trip. The ride down will be a mixture of high Alpine singletrack and loam filled trails that will allow us to let off the brakes for a little while. With close to 2000mts of descent this is a day’s riding that you won’t ever forget.
We head back to the hotel for a cold drink at the end of our day.
Day 5: Rest Day/Play Day In St Luc
As it is a holiday we do try to encourage people to have a rest day of sorts. Whether its relaxing by a pool or going for a stroll around the town some R&R is good for the body and mind, not only for you but for the guides also.
We can recommend plenty of things to keep you busy on your day off but if you fancy hitting the bike park in St. Luc for a few laps feel free.
Day 6: Chandolin/Pas De L’illsee
Today we’ll be transported to the breath taking village of Chandolin nestled high up in the mountains. This is another one of our favourite rides in the Alps, not only for the amazing trails but the scenic views will have us stopping for many a photo opportunity or a quick addition to your Instagram story.
We take a chairlift up to 2500mts. Keep an eye out for the marmots below! Here, we traverse a gentle singetrack until we reach the beautiful Pas de L’Insee 2544 mts. From here a technical rocky descent awaits that opens up into open meadow and the beautiful Illsee lake below.
This ride does require a hike-a-bike of approx 250mts but this gives us access to one incredible descent. After lunch, at the top, there is a great opportunity for a new profile or cover picture to tease your riding buddies back home. The trails below are quite steep and technical at times until we reach the forest singletrack. From here the trails open up to a more loamy terrain but still quite challenging with rocks, roots and wide open switchbacks you can get loose on.
There’s no better way to finish the ride than at a beautiful freshwater lake in the town of Sierre. Here you can cool off with a swim in the lake or chill out with a cool beer or ice cream. The choice is yours.
Day 7: The Mighty Matterhorn And Zermatt
We like to save the best for last! The Alpine Enduro trip would not be complete without taking the famous train journey from Zermatt to Gornergrat 3089mts.
After breakfast we’ll be transported to the town of Tasch. From here we’ll take a short train journey to the beautiful car-free town of Zermatt. There we’ll board the famous Gornergrat Cogged train that will take us up to our highest point of the holiday. The most beautiful panoramic views of the mighty Matterhorn at 4478mts await us.
After lots of photo opportunities we’ll descend some classic Alpine switchback trails before climbing to our final big descent of the day to Tasch. The riding from here down is a mix of switchbacks, flow trails with lots of rocks and roots to keep the adrenaline pumping.
We finish off the week with a nice refreshing cold beverage in one of the many local bars at the end of our ride.
Back at the hotel we can share our amazing biking experiences from our trip, sharing photos and videos over a cold drink.
You will receive your bike bag again, having not seen it since day one. Disassemble your bike and pack everything away but only until next time…
Day 8: Departure To Martigny Train Station
We leave our accommodation and transport you and your luggage to Martigny train station. Unfortunately, the bit we don’t like on our trips is saying goodbye to newfound friends but we do hope to see each and every one of you in the near future.
